Barbara Klass is a civil litigator with
17 years experience in both business litigation and insurance defense.
From 1987 to the present, she has handled a variety of civil litigation.
She has been the lead attorney in large cases involving business
disputes, real estate transactions and fraud, estate planning, legal
malpractice, breach of contract, fraud, civil RICO and writs of
attachment. Ms. Klass has also had extensive experience in handling
complex multi-party cases involving personal injury, product liability,
property damage and construction defects.
Barbara Klass was formerly with Lord, Bissell & Brook. She was
an adjunct professor for Whittier Law School for five years where
she developed and taught a trial preparation course entitled "Pre-Trial
Litigation." She also taught a professional ethics course entitled
"Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiations." Ms. Klass has been
a repeat panelist for a Continuing Education of the Bar program
entitled "Preparing for, Taking and Using Depositions." She has
also served as an arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court.
She is a member of the Inn of Court and has served as a panelist
on the topic of law firm break-ups.
Ms. Klass received her B.A. from the University of California at
Los Angeles and her J.D. from Loyola Law School. She also attended
California State University at Northridge as a graduate student
in Spanish. |
